January 12, MINSK. Superhero films from the Marvel universe "Spider-Man: No Way Home" and "Venom-2" shared the first and second places in Minsk cinemas in 2021. Olga Dyuldia, First Deputy General DIRECTOR of the Unitary Enterprise Kinovideoprokat of the Minsk City Executive Committee, told journalists today, BelTA has learned.

In third place in terms of views was a fantastic film based on the novel by F. Herbert "Dune", in fourth place - the animated film "Soul".

Next in the top ten are action adventure films Fast and Furious 9, No Time to Die (the 25th film in the James Bond series). The film "The Last Hero: The Root of Evil" became the seventh at the box office, followed by the action movie "Human Wrath" and the cartoon "The Boss Baby - 2". Closes the top ten American superhero film "Suicide Squad: Mission Through".

In general, according to her, the last year will be remembered for constant transfers of releases. The epidemiological situation in the world was unstable, and large studios maneuvered as best they could. "But since September, the situation has leveled off. And all the expected blockbusters came out strictly on schedule. Most of the major releases, which should be released in the first quarter of 2022, also found their final dates. Obviously, everyone is tired of postponements," Olga Dyuldia said.

In addition, not only world premieres were screened in cinemas, but also festival, auteur, cult films in the original language with subtitles, live broadcasts and recordings of the best performances of leading theater houses.

During the year, weeks of Japanese, Italian, Tajik, Uzbek, Indian, as well as the foreign film festival of the CIS countries "Eurasia.doc" were held. The XXVII Minsk International Film Festival "Listapad" became a long-awaited event of the last year. More than 100 paintings were shown during the festival.
