The number of poultry is growing in the Ulyanovsk region

In terms of the rate of growth in the number of birds, the region ranks fourth in the Volga Federal District, with an indicator for 2020 of 4.8%, IA Svetich reports with reference to the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

On February 24, at a meeting of the Council on Food Security Doctrine, Governor Sergey Morozov was presented with the implementation of the provisions regarding the development of the poultry and dairy industries in the region.

“We continue to develop the industry and we plan to implement several more investment projects. To date, the Ulyanovsk poultry farm is being restored, and the issue of creating a poultry complex in the Karsun district is being worked out. The implementation of investment projects will make it possible to increase the production of eggs to 211 million in 2022 and poultry MEAT to 12,000 tons. In terms of the growth rate of the number of birds, the region ranks fourth in the Volga Federal District, with an indicator for 2020 of 4.8%,” said Sergey Morozov.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agro-industrial Complex and Rural Development Mikhail Semyonkin, the number of poultry in all categories of farms amounted to 1 million 186 thousand heads, an increase of 4.8% compared to 2019.

“In order to stabilize the industry and its further development, in 2020 an agreement was reached with investors to acquire poultry farms. To date, they are taking measures to modernize production and the first batch of poultry has already been delivered. There are currently six large investment projects in the region for the production of broiler meat and chicken eggs,” concluded Mikhail Semyonkin.

So in the Ulyanovsk region, a poultry farm operates in the Melekessky district, to which 30 thousand heads of day-old chickens of the broodstock were delivered on January 16 this year, EcoFermaRus LLC in the Novomalyklinsky district is building a poultry farm for 100 thousand poultry places for one-time planting. In addition, the reconstruction of the Ulyanovsk poultry farm in the Cherdaklinsky district and the poultry-breeding and auxiliary premises of the “Personal” poultry farm in the Veshkaimsky district are being reconstructed, new technological equipment will be installed there. In 2020, in the KFH, Chibilkaev A.S. in the village of Novy Uren, Ulyanovsk region, a project was implemented to build a poultry farm for five thousand heads of broilers of a one-time content, it will increase the production of poultry meat by 45 tons per year.
