More than a billion eggs have been produced in the Saratov region.

Since the beginning of the year, the Saratov Region has produced 1,047.2 million eggs, a 19.1% increase compared to the same period last year. This was reported by Alexey Molchanov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Livestock Development, noting that the region is among the top five regions in the Volga Federal District for egg production.
These figures, according to the Deputy Minister, were achieved, in part, through the federal "Labor Productivity" project of the "Efficient and Competitive Economy" national project, implemented by the region's poultry farms.
The leader in this segment is Pokrovskaya Poultry Farm, LLC, which accounts for approximately 33% of the total egg production by poultry farms. The Lysogorskaya and Simonovskaya Poultry Farms are also among the top three producers, accounting for 20% and 18% of the total production, respectively.
"In the near future, the industry faces the task of not only maintaining the current production level but also reaching 1.25 billion eggs per year by the end of 2026. The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has set this goal for the Saratov Region ," added Alexey Molchanov.
According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, 13 investment projects aimed at further developing the poultry industry are currently in the design stage. The supply of eggs in the Saratov Region exceeds the region's needs by 1.9 times.
