Belarus will increase food production, particularly dairy products, because it needs to feed its people, President Alexander Lukashenko said at a visiting seminar and meeting on agriculture in the Minsk region.

"Someone is fighting in a frenzy, and someone else benefits from it. That's not our policy! Without wars, people need to be fed. The demand for food will only grow. Therefore, we absolutely must follow this path—creating dairy farms," ​​the Telegram channel "Pul Pervogo" quotes him as saying.

Lukashenko called for "working properly" if "we don't want war," if "we don't want to sit in the trenches, breeding lice in the mud." He deemed it essential to adhere to technology and "military discipline" in production.

At the meeting, the Belarusian president also reiterated his proposal to erect a monument to a cow in the country. He said the animal helped people during the Great Patriotic War, when residents fled into the forests, and now it continues to "feed the people," providing both milk and meat .

"If we want to be healthy, we need to breathe normal air and eat normal food. Therefore  , the cow , figuratively speaking, should stand in a palace," he added.
