Poultry farm in Koltsovo to be checked due to residents' complaints about an unusual smell

Evgeny Shesterin, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Novosibirsk Region, responded to complaints from Koltsovo residents about a pungent unpleasant odor. According to him, field checks will begin this week. 

“There are complaints about a specific smell in Koltsovo. Field inspections of the poultry farm will begin this week. Based on the results of unscheduled inspections, the Ministry will take measures provided for by law. We will also publish the results, ”the minister reports in his TELEGRAM channel. 

One of these complaints was published in the VK group “Overheard in Koltsovo”. In it, the author is indignant that a “cadaverous aroma” has spread throughout the science city, which visits the city periodically. The author added that the smell comes from the fields of the poultry farm. 

Earlier, NDN.info wrote that a poultry farm in the Novosibirsk Region caused damage to the environment by 550 million rubles. Soil was contaminated with nitrates, the concentration exceeds the MPC twice.
