The results of the regional competition for the best in the profession among zootechnicians-breeders have been summed up in the Vologda Region

Seven livestock breeders from five municipalities of the Vologda Region took part in the III regional competition: Velikoustyugsky, Gryazovetsky, Mezhdurechensky, Totemsky, Sheksninsky. The participants represented enterprises with the status of "breeding plant" and "breeding reproducer".
"The dairy farming industry is one of the most important, socially significant industries of the agro-industrial complex of the Vologda Region. Thanks to the highly qualified work of livestock breeders, our region has been increasing production indicators in the breeding livestock industry for a number of years," said Nikolai Vinogradov, Acting HEAD of the Regional Department of Agriculture.
The competition was held online remotely in three stages. The first stage was a test of theoretical knowledge, at the second stage, specialists assessed the production indicators of the enterprise in the livestock industry for 2023, and at the final stage, an assessment was made of the management and state of the databases of the Selex electronic program.
The jury determined the winners in four nominations based on the highest number of points received for the types of work and operations being assessed.
The absolute winner was Olga Andreeva, a livestock breeder (OOO Monza, Mezhdurechensky District).
In the nomination "Best in Conducting a Comprehensive Assessment", the victory was awarded to Natalia Popova, a livestock breeder (SPK Rus, Sheksninsky District).
The winner in the nomination "Best in Theoretical Knowledge" was Maria Kuzmina, a livestock breeder (AO Sheksna, Sheksninsky District).
In the nomination "Best in Working with the Selex Program", the first place went to Irina Sashina, a livestock breeder (OOO SKHP Ustyugmoloko, Veliky Ustyugsky District).
Based on the results of the regional competition, candidates from the Vologda Region will be selected to participate in the III All-Russian competition among zootechnicians-breeders, which will be held in August 2024 in Moscow .
