From February 11, navigation seals will be used to track rail traffic in the EAEU.

Photo by Belarusian Railways, February 3, Minsk . Starting February 11, navigation seals will be used to track rail shipments within the Eurasian Economic Union ( EAEU ), the Belarusian Railways (BR) press center told BELTA. 

The measure is being introduced in accordance with a decision by the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) to ensure control operations. Initially, navigation seals will be used for the transportation of goods subject to special economic measures by EAEU countries, as well as for the transportation of alcohol and tobacco products.

Beltamozhservice, a state-owned enterprise, is the national operator in Belarus for tracking rail shipments using navigation seals. 

"Belarusian Railways will ensure the timely transportation of goods using navigation seals within the Republic of Belarus," the BR noted.
