February 4,
Minsk . On February 4,
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko heard a report from Anatoly Isachenko, Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee, BelTA reports.
The report focused on the state of affairs in the region, following up on Tuesday's report in the Vitebsk Region. As the
head of state noted the day before, many of the identified problematic issues are, to varying degrees, common to other regions of the country.
The main topic of the Mogilev Region Governor's report was the state of agriculture in the region as a whole, with an emphasis on certain pressing and problematic issues.
In particular, the President was interested in the livestock mortality situation.
It was reported that negative trends are being recorded in a number of farms and districts due to non-compliance with technology, mismanagement, and a lack of discipline at the local level. To address the situation, mobile teams have been created to visit farms and provide necessary advisory and other assistance.
The head of state also inquired about the overall status of livestock wintering and the extent to which feed requirements are met. In this regard,
the work of the region's feed mills was also reviewed: their production capacities are fully utilized, and all issues have been resolved.
A separate topic of the report was the utilization rate of the region's
meat and dairy enterprises. The situation in this regard has improved. For example, in the meat industry, capacity utilization is at an average of 90%.
The regional leader also reported on the construction and reconstruction of facilities in Shklov (projects overseen by the head of state). This complex of organizations includes a feed mill, agricultural services, agricultural chemicals, and a new
milk processing plant. All facilities will be fully operational this year.
