Zebu Zemushka became the zoo's first mother of the new year. Her baby was born healthy and strong. She quickly stood up and began feeding on her mother's milk.

Three zebu now live at the Grodno Zoo: the male Dobrynya, the adult female Zemushka, and the baby, whom zoo staff have named Zabava.
