On Tuesday, March 22, a meeting was held in the administration building of the Karabudakhkent region with the participation of the agrarians of the region and the heads of interested regional services.
The HEAD of the municipal district Mahmud Amiraliev, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan Sharip Sharipov, Head of the Department of Crop Production and Land Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dzhambulat Shaibov, Deputy Head of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Dagestan Yusuf Yusufov took part in the event.
Speaking to the agrarians of the municipality, Sharip Sharipov noted that in the current conditions there is an urgent need to reformat the activities of all interested services in order to adapt our work to new challenges and current realities. At the federal level, a number of systemic decisions have been made to stabilize the situation in the agro-industrial complex. Appropriate measures are being taken at the republican level, measures are being worked out to support the industry in key areas for the republic.
“Dagestan has a huge agricultural potential for increasing the supply of high-quality agricultural products, primarily in such areas as vegetable growing, including protected ground, rice growing, lamb and beef production, and horticulture. And Dagestan farmers have the opportunity to increase supplies to the consumer markets of our country. Today, measures are being taken to stabilize the situation in the food market, the temporary fluctuations that have arisen in the markets of individual goods are partly due to the emotional component. The Russian Federation meets its needs in terms of basic types of food, and also supplies considerable volumes of food to foreign markets,” the First Deputy Minister said.
Karabudakhkent region is one of the leading agricultural municipalities. Suffice it to say that the second largest winter field in the Republic of Dagestan is concentrated here, it is about 11 thousand hectares. In addition, there are more than 212 hectares of greenhouses here - the largest area in the context of districts in Dagestan. There is potential in other areas of the agro-industrial complex, horticulture is actively developing, and fruit storage facilities are being built. The Karabudakhkent region is also the leader in the republic in terms of the pace of spring field work - more than 55 percent of the planned spring sowing in the region has already been completed, while in the republic this figure is 15%.
“We expect that the farmers of the Karabudakhkent region will use all available reserves to increase their production. There are a number of issues, including the solution of problems in the field of melioration, which is relevant for the region. Measures in this direction are being taken. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan intends to actively involve the agrarian potential of the region to solve the problems of ensuring food security,” said the First Deputy Minister.
Measures of state support in the areas of crop production and animal husbandry were covered in detail by Dzhambulat Shaibov and Yusuf Yusufov. There are numerous measures of budgetary support for these areas of the agro-industrial complex. In crop production, you can count on subsidies for "unrelated support", for reimbursement of the costs of establishing and caring for perennial plantations, for the purchase of elite seeds, etc. Livestock breeders are provided with subsidies to support livestock breeding, for each liter of MILK sold for processing, to ensure the growth of the breeding stock of cattle and small cattle, to produce fine and semi-fine wool, etc. There are also farm grants, preferential loans, leasing, etc.
