Haylage harvesting started in 13 districts of Bashkortostan

Favorable weather has come in the republic for the preparation of fodder for the upcoming wintering of livestock. Therefore, it is high time for farms to increase the pace of harvesting the first cut of perennial grasses and deploy equipment in the fields at full capacity.
According to operational data, by June 15, farms in 13 districts of the republic began harvesting the first batches of succulent fodder. 7 thousand 428 hectares of perennial grasses were cut and 11 thousand 379 tons of haylage were harvested.
Recall that the agrarians of the region are optimistic this year, they plan to prepare a two-year supply of rough and succulent fodder. The fodder wedge in the structure of crops in 2022 occupies 650 thousand hectares, of which 436 thousand hectares are perennial grasses.
