Over the past day in the Rostov region 487 people became infected with covid

As of August 16, 487 people were infected with covid-19 in the Rostov region. Such data was provided by the information policy department of the government of the region.

Over the past day, 38% of cases were people aged 18 to 45 years, 33.7% - from 46 to 65 years old, and 15.6% - children under 18 years old. In total, the number of those who registered the infection, aged 66 years and older, was 12.7%. The number of patients diagnosed with covid during the entire period of the pandemic amounted to 117 thousand people.

By August 16, 358 people had recovered, and the total number of recovered patients was 102.5 thousand.

4.2 thousand patients are being treated in hospitals. Of these, 40 people are in serious condition on non-invasive mechanical ventilation, 367 people are on non-invasive ventilation.

28 people have died in the last 24 hours. The total number of deaths during the covid period in the Rostov region exceeded 5.5 thousand people.
