Experts from the World HEALTH Organization have recommended giving people with immunodeficiency an extra dose of the CORONAVIRUS vaccine, REUTERS reported.
The WHO Strategic Advisory Group of Experts said that people in this group should be offered an additional vaccination, as the “standard vaccination” in their case may not be enough and they risk getting severe covid-19 .
The experts also recommended that people over 60 who have been vaccinated with the Chinese drugs Sinovac or Sinopharm receive an additional dose of the vaccine. They explained that a number of studies have shown that in older age groups, these vaccines "work worse over time."
At the same time, the advisory group noted that countries should first focus on vaccinating as many older people as possible with two doses and only then move on to the introduction of the third.
