The region recorded a decline in investment in fixed assets, however, economists surveyed believe that by the end of the year, the indicators will not only catch up with last year's level, but will also show growth.

In Bashkiria, the interim results of socio-economic development for the seven months of 2021 were summed up. In January-July, the turnover of organizations increased by 12.2% compared to the same period last year and reached 2.4 trillion rubles. Retail trade turnover increased by 11.3% to 535.2 billion rubles, paid services were provided to the population by almost 140 billion - 7.4% more than a year earlier.

The index of industrial production in the region for seven months amounted to 103.5%, which is lower than the national average (104.4%) and in the Volga Federal District (106.1%). The extraction of minerals compared to January-July 2020 in the republic decreased by 21%. In manufacturing and electricity supply, an increase of 7.2% was recorded, in the field of water supply, sanitation, organization of waste collection and disposal, the index was equal to 131.2%. Agricultural production decreased by 0.4%.

The volume of commissioning of residential buildings at the expense of all sources of financing increased by 21.2%, in general, in the Volga Federal District, the indicators increased by 16.7%, in RUSSIA - by 30.1%. In terms of housing commissioning, the republic ranks seventh among the regions, behind Tatarstan, St. Petersburg, the Leningrad Region, the Krasnodar Territory, Moscow and the Moscow Region. From January to June, the volume of investment in fixed capital in Bashkiria decreased by 4% and amounted to 134.4 billion rubles.

The average per capita income of the population in the first half of the year increased by 5.7% and amounted to 28.09 thousand rubles. The real incomes of the population decreased by 0.6%, while the region recorded an increase in the average monthly salary to 40.2 thousand rubles - by 8.4% in nominal terms and by 2.7% in real terms. The unemployment rate according to the methodology of the International Labor Organization (ILO) for April-June 2021 amounted to 4.6%.

DOCTOR of Economic Sciences, Rector of the Institute for the Development of Education of the Republic of Belarus Azat Yangirov called the results of the first half of the year positive, noting good growth rates in manufacturing, construction, the return of unemployment to almost pre-crisis levels and the growth of other indicators.
