Turchin awarded the best agricultural workers of the Minsk region

November 17, MINSK. On the eve of the Day of Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers in the hall of the National Art Museum, the medal "For Labor Merit" and the Gratitude of the President of the Republic of Belarus were presented to the best workers by the chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Turchin, BelTA has learned.

The medal "For Labor Merit" was awarded to nine agricultural workers, and the Gratitude of the President of the Republic of Belarus was awarded to four leaders of the agricultural sector. Among the awarded people of different professions - agronomists, locksmiths, livestock specialists, vegetable growers, tractor drivers and others.

“Every year, our agro-industrial complex works better and better. The results achieved by our workers are vivid proof of this. This year, the Minsk region harvested 2.75 million tons of grain, including rapeseed, which is a very good result, which is supported by work of a huge number of people. In addition, we are also developing worthily in the field of animal husbandry - we are increasing the volume of MILK production, increasing the productivity of the dairy herd, building new premises," said Alexander Turchin.

He noted worthy results of the processing industry. According to him, it is profitable, pays taxes to the budget and dividends to the state. Due to this, many important social projects are financed in the Minsk region.

"In my opinion, the main result of agriculture is efficient work. In this regard, profitability increases and the wages of people rise. In addition, we plan to build at least 25 farms in the Minsk region, but we expect more," the chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee concluded .
