The first stone for the foundation of the future breeding facility, which will allow the creation of a full cycle of turkey breeding in the Voronezh region, was laid in the village of Sychevka, Nizhnedevitsky district. The new enterprise will reduce the import of hatching eggs to RUSSIA, which currently occupies more than half of the market. The second-order reproducer will become the core of an industrial cluster for the production of turkey MEAT in the Voronezh region.

The Don Turkey company will take advantage of a preferential loan from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation; it is being advised by the French division of the Hendrix Genetics holding, one of the world leaders in the breeding of farm animals, headquartered in Holland. They expect to receive the first marketable egg in October 2025, and reach design capacity in March 2026. The enterprise will create more than 100 jobs with an average salary of 62 thousand rubles.

Alexander Ilyin, General DIRECTOR of Plemreproductor Donskaya Turkey LLC, explained that the livestock from the incubator will be transferred to the replacement young stock site for 200 days, and then to the parent flock site, where the actual eggs are obtained.

Many poultry farms have already shown interest in the products of the enterprise under construction. Heads of agricultural companies from the Belgorod region, Bashkortostan, Kabardino-Balkaria and Belarus came to lay the stone.

Previously, Don Turkey built an incubator for 5.1 million eggs per year in the Voronezh region. Now turkey poults from the Kashira region are sold to Belarus and neighboring countries. increase volumes and expand the geography of exports.
