
Residents of Moscow prefer to buy locally produced bread, analytics of the SberMarket marketplace showed. Demand for this product has grown by 250% in 2022, according to the company. Schelkovokhleb became the leader in demand among Moscow bread producers, SbarMarket noted.
An increase in interest in locally produced products was shown by many products last year, and overall demand in all categories increased by 71%. Above average, in addition to bread, the demand for cheese increased by 100%, and for sweets - by 85%.
In 2023, according to the results of the first quarter, positive dynamics in the industry will continue, SberMarkey notes. Thus, the demand for Korkunov sweets increased by 39%. In the MEAT and Poultry category, Muscovites began to buy Ostankino products 24% more often. The number of goods sold by three Moscow bread producers at once increased: Kolomensky, Peko, and Dedovsky Bread.
According to the administration of the Moscow Region, the region occupies a leading position in the country in the production of some food products, in particular, bakery and curd products. In the near future, the Moscow region plans to launch 26 projects that will ensure import substitution in the food industry, about 40 billion rubles will be invested in them. Among these projects are poultry farms, dairy production, new workshops and factories for the production of sweets and other enterprises.
