By the end of 2025, egg production in the Moscow Region reached 207 million eggs, an increase of 7.3 million or 3.7% compared to 2024. Regional production includes all types of eggs—hatching, chicken, quail, and guinea fowl.
The Moscow Region Ministry of Agriculture and Food reported that 13 agricultural enterprises operate in the region's poultry industry, eight of which specialize in the production of hatching and food eggs . This growth is also supported by major investment projects. For example, construction of a chicken egg production complex by Belyanka LLC in Kashira is scheduled for completion in 2026. Its capacity is estimated at 525 million eggs per year.
Total investment amounts to 6 billion rubles, and 300 new jobs will be created once the project is operational.
The Moscow Region is placing particular emphasis on egg processing, which has high added value and significant export potential. For example, Kaya-Trade plans to implement an investment project to build an egg processing plant in Chekhov. Its annual production capacity will be 250 tons of boiled eggs, 300,000 packages of processed eggs, and 500,000 liters of liquid egg mixture. Investments will exceed 200 million rubles, and production is scheduled to begin in 2028. The new infrastructure and modern processing technologies will not only ensure stable growth for the industry but also enhance the competitiveness of its products in the domestic and international markets.
