SPF Agro modernizes a pig-breeding complex in Serebryanye Prudy

In the village of Barykovo, not far from the village of Serebryanye Prudy near Moscow, the reconstruction and modernization of the SPF Agro pig-breeding complex has begun.

The work will be carried out in two stages. The total investment of SPF Agro LLC in this project has already amounted to 350 million rubles.

By the end of summer, the company plans to clear the lagoons of manure and cover them with a membrane. The second stage will start in the fourth quarter of 2021. Contractors will completely replace the floors in all buildings for keeping animals. On the territory of the complex, another fattening site will be built and another gap with waterproofing will be equipped.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region, the livestock of the SPF Agro LLC farm in Serebryanye Prudy has exceeded 26,000. The volume of pork production is 6.2 thousand tons per year. The company cultivates about 4.5 hectares of arable land (10% of municipal land).
