In the period from January to October 2023, the production of pigs for slaughter in agricultural organizations in the Ivanovo region increased by 70 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 15.3 thousand tons. This significant increase in pork production is of great importance for the development of livestock farming in the region.
Dymov's pig farms have become the main factor contributing to the growth of pig production in the Ivanovo region. Their contribution to overall meat production is undeniable and has led to a 15.2 percent increase in livestock and poultry production across the region. This positive trend is an important step in the development of agriculture in the Ivanovo region.
In addition, milk production is also seeing moderate growth, amounting to 139.6 thousand tons for January-October 2023. This 5.2 percent increase over last year suggests that livestock development in the region is not limited to pigs.
However, chicken egg production showed a slight decrease of 1 percent. This may be one of the reasons for the rapid rise in egg prices in the region. It may be necessary to pay attention to this aspect in the future and take appropriate measures to stabilize egg production.
The Ivanovo region, thanks to the increase in pig production, especially in the Dymov pig farms, was able to achieve a noticeable increase in agricultural statistics. Increasing the volume of pork and milk production is an important step in the development of livestock farming and can become the foundation for further agricultural growth in the Ivanovo region.
