New video on our channel: 9,000 quails in Tajikistan - quail farming as a business. Japanese egg and Texas meat

In this video, we visited Abdumajit Odinaev's private farm. It's a quail farm that currently houses 9,000 quail. Abdumajit has been breeding quail since 2008.

The farm keeps two breeds of quail : Japanese and Texas white broiler quail.
The cages are five-tiered , measuring 80 x 50 cm.
Water is provided in tiers , through a single large barrel, from which water flows into a system of self-filling toilet tanks. The drinkers are nipple-type with cups. The drinkers themselves are located outside the cages, on the back side, which is very convenient because it's easy to see which drinker is leaking and replace.
However, if the drinkers were inside the cages, it would be difficult to see which drinker is leaking, much less replace it.

An automatic manure removal system is installed under each tier . The entire system (for all five tiers) is connected by a chain drive and is activated by a single button. After the manure belt has completed a full circle, the drive can be disengaged. The manure falls to the floor at the end of the battery cage and is then collected in a cart.

The room is ventilated using exhaust shafts, without forced ventilation.
Feed distribution is manual. Egg collection is also manual .

The incubators used on the farm are Soviet-era Universal 45s, which can hold 45,000 chicken eggs.
We also visited the feed mill , which houses a powerful, homemade, 3-ton mixer and a crusher. We discussed quail feed: Abdumajit currently buys commercially prepared feed, but plans to completely transition to in-house production to reduce costs.

The beneficial properties of the products weren't overlooked either. Abdulmadzhid explained how quail eggs help children—he himself gave them to his sons from three months of age to boost their immunity.
They also discussed market prices : a pack of 20 eggs costs around 12-15 somoni in Tajikistan.
