ROSSELKHOZNADZOR introduces temporary restrictions on the supply of live poultry and poultry products to RUSSIA from administrative territories of the countries of the world that are unfavorable for bird flu
In connection with the deteriorating epizootic situation with highly pathogenic avian influenza in a number of countries, Rosselkhoznadzor is taking measures to prevent its introduction into the territory of the Russian Federation. To ensure the biological safety of the country, the agency introduces restrictions on the import of poultry and poultry products from territories that are unfavorable for disease.
So, from February 11, 2022, the Rosselkhoznadzor introduces a temporary ban on the import into Russia of these products from the province of Huelva, Spain.
Similar measures from February 8, 2022 extended to deliveries from the territory of the provinces of Nova Scotia located in CANADA, as well as Newfoundland and Labrador.
Import restrictions include live poultry, hatching eggs, poultry MEAT, finished poultry meat products (with the exception of goods subjected to processing that ensures the destruction of avian influenza viruses in accordance with the provisions of the OIE Terrestrial Animal HEALTH Code), feed and feed additives for birds (except feed and feed additives of plant origin, chemical and microbiological synthesis). In addition, the transit of live birds through the territory of Russia is prohibited.
