Miratorg launched a new pig-breeding complex in the Bryansk region

A new pig-breeding complex for 3.4 thousand sows has opened in the Bryansk region, the Ministry of Agriculture of the region reports. The complex is completely isolated from the environment and biologically safe, the report noted.

The new pig breeding complex from the Miratorg company has all the necessary sites for the reproduction and rearing of pigs, from stations for artificial insemination to workshops for fattening piglets to the weight of adult pigs, the company said. The primary goal of the enterprise is not to produce pigs for slaughter, but to reproduce productive sows, due to which herds will be repaired at other enterprises of the company. The rest of the pigs, however, will be grown to marketable weight and sent for processing.

Miratorg emphasizes that the company is concerned about the safety of both pigs and people. For pigs, according to the company, stress-free conditions have been created, they are expected by regular veterinary control and feeding with natural compound feed. To ensure the safety of people, the enterprise is isolated from the environment, and recycling mechanisms within the enterprise have been created to work with biological waste. Even drains with waste from the life of pigs are equipped so that substances do not get into the soil and groundwater.

The regional Ministry of Agriculture noted a significant increase in the number of pigs compared to last year - it increased by 157% and exceeded a million heads (a total of 1002.1 thousand heads).
