The results of the All-Russian student marathon "AgroProfi" were summed up in Timiryazevka

At the Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K.A. Timiryazev, a round table was held, at which they discussed the issues of increasing the level of awareness of rural youth about the possibilities of self-realization in rural areas in the field of agro-industrial complex and summed up the results of the AgroProfi student marathon.

This year the marathon was held by the Russian Union of Rural Youth in conjunction with the Russian State Agrarian University-MSHA them. K.A. Timiryazev in partnership with the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation at the expense of a grant from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh).

The marathon was attended by about a thousand students of bachelor's, specialist's and master's degrees, as well as leaders and heads of student self-government bodies, students of secondary specialized educational institutions of agrarian orientation. Competitive tests were held in the following nominations: AgronomistProfi, BioProfi, ZooProfi, VetProfi, ZemProfi, EcoProfi, TechProfi, ProdProfi, FinProfi. Based on the results of the marathon, an expert jury selected 25 winners from different regions of the country, 8 of them became winners and will be able to undergo an industry internship.

Yulia Ogloblina, a member of the State Duma, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues, leader of the Russian Union of Rural Youth, came to congratulate and reward the winners of AgroProfi, as well as take part in the round table. At the event, she made a proposal to immediately resolve the personnel issue in rural areas, in particular, to strengthen the training of managers.

“In rural areas, unemployment is twice as high as in urban areas. Almost half of the heads of agricultural enterprises, heads of peasant farms say that there are not enough personnel. Experienced employees in the countryside are aging, and young people are in no hurry to replace them. We urgently need to prepare a personnel reserve for our territories, in all spheres of rural life. To train leaders, managers,” Yulia noted.

In addition, the round table was attended by: Chairman of the Russian Union of Rural Youth Dmitry Pekurovsky, Rector of the RGAU-MSHA named after V.I. K.A. Timiryazeva Vladimir Trukhachev, Deputy General DIRECTOR of the Association "Agroobrazovanie" Nadezhda Skorokhodova, Professor of the Department of Management of the Agroindustrial Complex and Rural Territories of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Russian Academy of Personnel Support for the Agro-Industrial Complex" K.A. Timiryazeva Lyubov Yushkova and acting vice-rector for educational, methodological and educational work of the RGAU-MSHA named after V.I. K.A. Timiryazeva Elena Khokhlova. And in an online format, teachers of the State University for Land Management connected. Many of them became members of the expert jury as part of competitive tests.

The All-Russian Student Marathon "AgroProfi" is being held for the second time this year. it is aimed at involving young people in social practice, increasing the level of social activity, identifying the most enterprising students studying in agrarian educational institutions of higher education in the Russian Federation. Marathon winners get an opportunity to take an internship at an industry enterprise, as well as diplomas and valuable gifts.
