Fiberglass, lumber, composites. Belarus demonstrates export potential in Azerbaijan.

Photo by the National Center for Marketing and Price Study, October 15, MINSK . Valeria Shatilova, HEAD of the Exhibition Department, told a BELTA correspondent about Belarusian

companies' presence at the exhibition in Azerbaijan. The BakuBuild International Construction Exhibition has opened in the Azerbaijani capital, with Belarusian companies actively participating. Belarus is represented by Polotsk-Steklovolokno and the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE), together with Bellesexport Unitary Enterprise and the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant.

The official delegation, including Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Azerbaijan Dmitry Pinevich and Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SMEDA), Orkhan Mammadov, visited the stand.

"The bulk of BUCE's exchange turnover is the EXPORT of Belarusian sawn timber to the Azerbaijani market. Furthermore, there is positive momentum in the exchange sale of skim MILK powder, butter, and by-product meats to the Azerbaijani market. The Belarusian market is interested in purchasing fruit, including puree and juice concentrates, cotton fiber, coarse calico, aluminum tape, and bentonite powder through the exchange," noted Valeria Shatilova.

Furthermore, Polotsk-Steklovolokno presented a range of its materials at the exhibition (fiberglass fabrics, glass and composite mesh, non-woven materials, fiberglass rolls, and fireproof membranes). Visitors expressed interest in mesh for reinforcing facades in insulation systems and fireproof membranes for ventilated facades. Commercial negotiations were held with existing customers and new companies.

The visit underscores the mutual interest in strengthening trade and economic ties between the countries and opens up new business opportunities. The exhibition will run until October 16.
