In Dagestan, they got acquainted with the crops of a new variety of barley and the processing of products at the Kizlyaragrocomplex

On Saturday, June 11, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Dagestan, Mukhtarbiy Adzhekov, visited the Kizlyar region on a working trip, where he got acquainted with the work of Kizlyaragrokompleks JSC.
He was accompanied by Timur Gairbekov, First Deputy HEAD of the District, Nabi Abdulgamidov, Head of the Republican Department of Transhumance, Raziyakhan Alilov, Head of the Department of Agriculture of the Municipality, and Magomed Tukuev, General DIRECTOR of Kizlyaragrocomplex JSC.
Mukhtarbiy Adzhekov got acquainted with the work of the rice processing plant and livestock complex operating at the enterprise, examined the granary and fields sown with various crops. The Minister noted that the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Dagestan will continue to provide state support to the enterprise, which implements significant investment projects for the republic.
“JSC “Kizlyaragrocomplex” is currently implementing investment projects in the field of land reclamation, involving the construction of new rice systems on an area of ​​more than 300 hectares. The management of the enterprise, with the support of the state, carried out colossal work: rice paddies and a processing plant were built. Today, Kizlyaragrocomplex employs more than 500 people. We will continue to support the enterprise, including through Rosagroleasing, which has declared its readiness to participate in our regional projects,” said the head of the agricultural department.
Mukhtarbiy Adzhekov inspected a granary for 20,000 tons, as well as a plant, the capacity of which allows processing 70,000 tons of paddy annually.
The minister also visited the fields of Kizlyaragrocomplex, where the company grows rice and fodder crops.
In particular, he examined the new rice systems on an area of ​​300 hectares in the village. Novokokhanovka, built by the enterprise as part of the investment project. Rice of several varieties, including new ones, has already been sown on the territory. The checks are fully supplied with irrigation water coming from the Novoterechnaya irrigation system.
Separately, Mukhtarbiy Adzhekov asked about the crops of a new variety of barley Carrera for Dagestan, which is recommended by scientists for use, including in the regions of the North Caucasus. it is highly resistant to various diseases, tolerates wet winters well, and is suitable for local soil types. At present, an area of ​​100 hectares has been sown on the territory of Kizlyaragrocomplex by Carrera. The specialists of the enterprise are satisfied with the trial batch and expect to get a yield of at least 60 q/ha.
In addition, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan got acquainted with the work of the livestock complex at the enterprise. Kizlyaragrocomplex keeps about 6,000 heads of cattle, mainly of the Red Steppe breed, of which about 3,000 are dairy herds.
The milking process at the enterprise is fully automated and controlled by modern devices that determine the fat content and other parameters of MILK online. The management of Kizlyaragrocomplex plans to increase the number of stalls for simultaneous milking from 40 to 80.
