By order of the DIRECTOR of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Federal Center for Animal Health" subordinate to ROSSELKHOZNADZOR R.N. Rybin No. 427 dated July 21, 2022, STO 00495527-0407-2022, instructions for veterinary use for the diagnostic kit "Kit for the determination of antibodies to structural proteins of foot-and-mouth disease virus in enzyme immunoassay" were put into effect. This kit is an updated version of the "Kit for the determination of anti-foot and mouth antibodies in the blood serum of animals in enzyme immunoassay". it allows to detect antibodies of different animal species to FMDV antigens with high diagnostic specificity and sensitivity.

FGBI ARRIAH produces three types of kits for assessing the immune status of animals in relation to FMDV types A, O, Asia-1, which provide high type specificity (detect antibodies against a wide range of FMDV antigens within one serotype). Upon request, it is possible to produce kits against homologous vaccine strains, since this option provides the most objective assessment of the effectiveness of the use of FMD vaccines in animal immunization.

In the presented sets, for the convenience of operators, the number of tablets for the liquid phase has been increased, their number corresponds to the number of tablets for the solid-phase stage of the reaction. Thanks to the proposed diagnosticums, it is possible to conduct screening studies of blood sera at a "single point". The section "Interpretation of results" of the instructions for veterinary use of the kit has been expanded with relevant information for the customer.

On the basis of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “ARRIAH”, advanced training courses for specialists in the study of the immune status of different animal species in relation to the foot and mouth disease virus are held, including using an updated set.
