Irrigation on irrigated lands is carried out in 23 districts of the Saratov region

According to the operational data of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, to date, irrigation on irrigated lands is carried out in 23 districts of the region: Balakovo, Perelyubsky, Dukhovnitsky, Lysogorsky, Marksovsky, Novoburassky, Turkovsky, Engelssky, Gagarinsky, Petrovsky, Pugachevsky, Ershovsky, Krasnokutsky, Krasnopartizansky, Dergachevsky , Samoilovsky, Volsky, Khvalynsky, Rivne, Soviet, Fedorovsky, St. Petersburg.
According to the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the region - the Minister of Agriculture of the region Roman Kovalsky, 496 sprinklers and 130 pumping stations have been put into operation. There are 221 drip and sprinkler irrigation devices operating on an area of ​​2,927 hectares.
The largest area of ​​irrigation was noted in Marksovsky, Engelssky, Ershovsky, Balakovo, Turkovsky municipal districts.
The largest area of ​​irrigation by drip and sprinkler irrigation is in Rivne (irrigation area 670 ha, 64 devices are in operation), Engels (irrigation area is 590 ha, 65 devices are in operation), Markovsky (irrigation area is 350 ha, 35 devices are in operation) districts of the region.
