The harvesting campaign in the Lipetsk region is coming to an end at a steady pace, and several record figures for this year can already be identified. This was announced by the vice-governor of the region Igor Kremnev at a weekly meeting in the government of the Lipetsk region.
Now 78.9 thousand tons of apples have already been collected. This is a record figure for the region. 45 thousand tons are stored for storage. A bumper harvest is expected for oilseeds. More than 850 thousand tons of sunflower, rapeseed, soybeans and other crops have already been harvested. Farmers are confidently moving towards the figure of 1 million tons. At the same time, good results are being achieved in the production of vegetable oil - more than 500 thousand tons will be produced. “Our position is very export-oriented. EXPORT indicators compared to last year for 9 months increased by more than 10%,” added Igor Kremnev.
At the beginning of November 2023, 209 thousand tons of potatoes had been dug. Over the past 10 years, more than 200 thousand tons have never been collected in the organized production sector.
“These are good results, which were achieved largely thanks to competent management, the introduction of advanced developments, the use of high-tech labor resources and the very responsible attitude of farmers to their responsibilities. I ask you to keep this work under review, to monitor all stages, so that we continue to have such outstanding indicators,” said Governor of the Lipetsk Region Igor Artamonov.
