In St. Petersburg , in honor of the Day of the Navy (Navy), the main naval parade will be held. Navy Day is celebrated on the last Sunday of July, this year the day also marks the 325th anniversary of the formation of the Russian fleet.

18 ships and boats will take part in the main parade. They will pass along the Neva in the center of St. Petersburg, the Ministry of Defense reported earlier. 48 aircraft will fly over the city. Another 11 ships and four submarines, including ships from India, Iran and Pakistan, will pass in formation off the coast of Kronstadt.

In addition, at 10 p.m. local time, a festive fireworks display will take place in Kronstadt, it will begin at the signal of a gun from the Peter and Paul Fortress. A gunshot will be fired by students of the Nakhimov Naval School.

This year the main naval parade in St. Petersburg will be held without spectators. According to the HEAD of the city Rospotrebnadzor, Natalya Bashketova, they decided to take this step in order to reduce the risk of people getting infected with a CORONAVIRUS infection.
