The Ministry of Education and Science allowed universities to conduct classes remotely after November 7

Russian higher education institutions can keep the distance learning format after November 8 or continue their studies in the form of independent work. The announcement was made public by the Ministry of Education and Science.

“From November 8, 2021, universities and scientific organizations have the right to continue to conduct training in the form of independent work or in a remote format using remote technologies,” the agency’s website says.

In addition, it was allowed to conduct intermediate certification in a remote format.

The Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov earlier suggested continuing education in one of two formats - independent work or using remote technologies - during the non-working days from October 30 to November 7. According to him, independent work of students at universities should be provided methodically at the proper level, and then they should check the acquired knowledge.

The Ministry of Education and Science also allowed subordinate universities to transfer scheduled holidays for students to non-working days.
