Incumbent French President Emmanuel Macron, after counting 87% of the votes, wins the second round of elections with a score of 56.10%, according to data from the French Interior Ministry.

For his rival, the leader of the "National Association" (formerly the "National Front") Marine Le Pen voted 43.90%. She admitted defeat, while calling her results "a resounding victory."

Macron, speaking to supporters on the Champ de Mars, vowed to become a "president for all" and continue to work "for a more just society and equality between women and men." At the same time, he noted that “turbulent”, but “historical” times await the French.

The first round of elections in France took place on 10 April. Then 27.85% of voters voted for Macron, and 23.15% for Le Pen. In third place was the leader of the "Unconquered France" Jean-Luc Mélenchon (21.95%).
