What products will Postavy Gorodok, OJSC, soon begin producing? How is the company developing, and why is demand for semi-finished products growing? A BELTA film crew learned about this and more during a visit to the production facility. Postavy believes the company must grow. Over the past two years, they realized they lacked auxiliary production capacity. To increase energy consumption, they reconstructed the boiler room, which increased capacity by 50%. Commissioning work on the wastewater treatment plant is currently underway.
The DIRECTOR calls this a foundation for the company's development.
"We're planning to expand our packaged cheese slicing lines. Customers are becoming more demanding. And the pace of life is such that you need to come in, grab a piece of cheese from the shelf, and go, rather than stand in line and wait for someone to cut
it for you. We plan to increase cheese production," explained Georgy Kosten.
To expand the product range, the company is installing a curd cheese production line with a capacity of 30 tons of mixture per day. They will use the same raw materials that were previously sent to other plants for processing in the summer. A new KOMPO packaging machine will be launched in May.
- We used to produce
"We plan to continue selling
cottage cheese in tubes. There's very little product in this type of packaging on the Belarusian market, and we hope to carve out a significant niche in the segment," explained Tatyana Titova. The company's main products are simple cheeses: "Gollandsky," developed by local technologists, and "Parmesan Grand Postavy Gorodok." The latter has proven itself in the Russian market, and consumers know and appreciate it.
"Naturally, we strive to produce cheeses with higher consumer properties. These are the ones that ripen in latex packaging. These are hard
cheeses that people enjoy in both Belarus and the Russian Federation. We have several varieties that ripen in latex: "Vilno," also developed at our company, "Parmesan DeLuxe," and the well-known "Tyzengauz" with its beautiful large holes," added Alexander Tanana, Deputy Director for Commercial Affairs and Procurement. The
Novolukoml production site already produces low-fat cottage cheese. It is popular with those who care about their
HEALTH, as it contains a lot of protein. And in Postavy, they will produce crumbly cottage cheese with three types of fat content. using traditional technology.
In
2024 , the company participated in the Prodexpo exhibition. Three Postavy cheeses—Tyzengauz, Vilno, and Parmesan DeLux—received gold medals in the Best Product of the Year competition. In 2025, the cottage cheese produced at the Novolukoml workshop was awarded a medal and a diploma.
“Last December, we opened our own canteen. The employees had been asking for it for a long time, they wanted it. And we’re planning to create a small workshop for the production of semi-finished products based on the canteen. The pace of life is changing. If you look at it, compare: when I was studying in
MINSK in the 90s, you could get from one end of the city to the other in 40 minutes. But now, it’s probably a bit difficult. Try coming home and cooking something else! Of course, it’s better to go to the store, buy some semi
-finished product , put it in a frying pan, or even better, in the microwave, heat it up, and eat it,” laughs Georgy Kosten.
In 2024, the company rebranded its packaging. It remained recognizable, featuring traditional Belarusian designs. The inscription "Belarusian Traditions of Quality" serves as an indicator of quality and naturalness. "
We began to include
recipes for various dishes on the packaging for customers, and greeting cards for holidays. Sometimes we even included engaging games for children," Tatyana Titova explained. "During Maslenitsa week,
MILK was produced with a pancake recipe.
" "
Belarus is a dairy country that exports.
"There are many high-quality products. How can you withstand the competition? Probably the only way is to work honestly, dedicating yourself, your heart, and your passion to the work. This is the only way to compete and look good in this market, concluded Georgy Kosten.
