In a hospital situation (where I actually work), a completely different category of patients predominates. These are people with severe disorders of the digestive organs - liver, stomach, intestines.
- It is fashionable now to give up dairy products and gluten. Is this really necessary for health? And is it necessary at all?

- It is actually a painful topic, because it is too far-fetched. The number of patients with lactose intolerance is much smaller than people assume. Belarus is not one of the regions with a high percentage of lactase deficiency. This is a mutation of the gene responsible for the parietal cleavage of MILK, which we eat. In fact, this is a symptomatic situation. If a person has such a disorder, then it is mostly clear from childhood. Although with age, sometimes relative lactose deficiency occurs. Then simply exclude fresh whole milk from your diet , and leave fermented milk products, especially cheeses , in which the protein is fermented and does not put such a strain on the digestive tract.
As for gluten, overloading the body with bakery products is generally harmful. Especially white bread, buns, croissants - delicious. I also love them, but they are not very useful, since this is a short carbohydrate that is processed very quickly and does not provide energy for the day. Therefore, it is advisable to limit such products in the diet: you can use them, but not often and in small quantities. Our diet should contain long carbohydrates, that is, those substances that are broken down in a prolonged manner, providing a supply of energy over a long period of time. Then we are healthy and there is no problem that gluten has harmed everyone. It is contained in cereals, among other things, and does not cause as much harm as it is attributed to.
