Cheeses and other products produced by JSC "Pruzhany Dairy Plant" have long won the sympathy of Belarusian and foreign consumers. Today, thanks to high-tech equipment and a strict quality policy, the enterprise has become one of the leaders in the dairy industry in the Brest region.

Traditions through the decades

JSC "Pruzhany Dairy Plant" is one of the leading enterprises in the dairy industry for the production of rennet cheeses, dry products, oils of animal origin. it is located in an ecologically clean zone of the Pruzhany region, just 45 kilometers from the well-known nature reserve "Belovezhskaya Pushcha".

As an independent unit, the plant began its activities in 1939. Gradually, volumes grew and the range of production expanded. Over the past decade, the company has experienced several large-scale transformations at once. In particular, the production of semi-hard rennet cheeses was modernized, a line for the technological preparation of natural whey was put into operation, and the butter production area was modernized. An equally important milestone was the construction of a workshop building for the production of skimmed MILK powder, as well as the modernization of the chambers of the cheese-making workshop.

Cheese, milk , butter and other products of the plant are valued primarily for their high quality and naturalness, which the company pays special attention to. It is high quality that allows you to compete in today's market. And coupled with high-tech production, Pruzhany craftsmen manage to create unique products that are loved not only in Belarus, but also far beyond its borders.

Volume growth and EXPORT potential

In the first half of 2022, the production volume of the enterprise increased by 29.1% and amounted to 104.4 million Belarusian rubles. In turn, the profitability of sales added 10%.

- As for the export component, 87% of products are shipped abroad. During the first half of the year, the company sold products to other countries in the amount of 33.9 million US dollars . This is more than a third higher than half a year earlier, - Zhanna Kovganko, chief economist of the enterprise, emphasized.

Generous "Pruzhany" - in every home

Dairy plant products are known primarily under the brand name "Generous Pruzhany". The nomenclature of this brand is traditional cheeses like "Creamy" or "Russian", as well as processed cheeses.

– The production of processed cheese is a certain innovation for us. We launched the production line at the end of last year. We started with two positions - "Creamy" and "Chocolate" cheeses. Gradually expanded and added several new products. For example, with Provence herbs and cranberries, - says Tatyana Shopik, process engineer at Pruzhany Dairy Plant.

The company produces whole milk products. In particular, ultra-pasteurized milk with a mass fraction of fat content of 2.5 and 3.2%. Butter of various fat content also occupies a considerable share of production. Including chocolate.

- As for chocolate butter, we are one of the few plants that can produce such a product. And, it is worth noting, it is very popular, - added Tatiana Shopik.

The plant also produces a range of dry dairy products. In particular, skimmed milk powder, whole. This year, the first batches of dry buttermilk were produced here.

– The expansion of the production of dry dairy products is connected with the modernization that took place several years ago. New equipment was purchased, which made it possible to master the production of demineralized whey. Dry dairy products are in special demand in foreign markets, - the interlocutor emphasized.

Ripened novelties

For several years now, the company has been producing a line of cheeses under the VAN GOLD brand. The production engineer of Pruzhany Dairy Plant OJSC noted that the cheeses were developed according to European technologies with maximum adaptation to the domestic market. Both in terms of raw materials and production, and consumer demand.

– Cheeses depending on the brand (STATUS, SOLIDO, SHEDEVR, GRANO PRUGIANO) have different maturation periods. Accordingly, they are 6, 9, 12 and 18 months. The last of these positions matured in April this year.

Aged Pruzhany-produced cheeses have been appreciated by consumers for a long time. However, in the near future, the dairy plant will delight customers with another novelty. It will also belong to the VAN GOLD line of cheeses. This time - aged cheese with the addition of tartufata.

“This is a mushroom sauce, one of the ingredients of which is truffle. The cheese was really tasty. We are sure that this product will quickly find its connoisseur, because the truffle gives the cheese a special taste and aroma. By the way, VAN GOLD MOLITER can already be found on the shelves of your stores. Recently, we sent the first batches for sale, - says Tatiana Shopik.

The Grand Prix goes to the Brest region!

Another indicator of the exceptional quality of the plant's products was the ProdExpo 2022 exhibition. The company not only demonstrated its own products, but also took part in a specialized competition. According to its results, cheese under the VAN GOLD SHEDEVR brand took the Grand Prix of the International Tasting Competition, scoring 97 out of 100 possible points.

– Cheese was appreciated by numerous experts and visitors of the exhibition. Indeed, the products turned out to be of very high quality, harmonious and tasty, and, of course, this is a very high assessment for us. However, we will continue to strive for new achievements, - said Tatiana Shopik.

OJSC "Pruzhany Dairy Plant" regularly receives high marks at specialized competitions and events. So, last summer at the annual exhibition "Belagro 2022", which took place in the Industrial Park "Great Stone", a national tasting competition "Champion of Taste" was held. VAN GOLD GRANO PRUGIANO cheese was awarded the 1st degree diploma. Also in June 2022, the enterprise was awarded the Belarusian government prize for achievement in the field of quality. The team of the plant received this award at the end of 2021. The government award is considered one of the most respected awards in the country in the field of quality.

The annual capacity of OJSC "Pruzhany Dairy Plant" is:

rennet cheese - 10,295 tons;

butter - 2300 tons;

dry dairy products - 7300 tons.
