Belarus is ready to increase agricultural exports and support the development of Myanmar's agricultural sector.

November 27, MINSK . Belarus and Myanmar plan to expand cooperation in the agricultural sector, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food told BelTA.
Talks were held in Yangon between Belarusian Minister of Agriculture and Food Yuri Gorlov and Myanmar Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation Min Naung.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector. In March 2025, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding and the creation of a joint working group, the first shipment of Belarusian dry MILK products was delivered. Since then, over 1,000 tonnes of products have been shipped to Myanmar.
Belarus is ready to increase exports and support the development of Myanmar's agricultural sector. Priority areas include the supply of skim milk powder, whey, baby food, canned dairy and MEAT products, FLOUR, pasta, and shelf-stable products.
Cooperation in livestock farming and seed production is also under consideration. The Belarusian side offered assistance in designing and equipping dairy farms, transferring technology, training specialists at domestic agricultural universities, and supplying wheat, potato, and corn seeds.
"We view our partnership as a two-way street. We are ready to expand our product supplies and facilitate Myanmar producers' entry into the Belarusian market," noted Yuri Gorlov.
The participation of the general directors of leading industry companies—Slutsk CHEESE FACTORY OJSC and Volkovysk-based Bellakt OJSC—in the negotiations underscored the practical nature of both parties' intentions.
The negotiations marked an important step toward implementing joint projects and fostering a sustainable agricultural dialogue between the countries.
