Egg production in the Astrakhan region doubled in the first half of 2025

This growth was made possible by the resumption of work at Vladimirovskaya Poultry Farm LLC after the quarantine established in 2024. An important stage for the factory was the lifting of the quarantine for bird flu in May 2024. Despite a major fire in the incubator in May 2025, which claimed the lives of about 166 thousand chickens, the regional Ministry of Agriculture noted that egg production may decrease by no more than 9% of the annual plan of 388 million pieces. At the same time, the annual demand of the population of the Astrakhan region is about 247 million eggs, which allows the region to fully provide itself with this product. There are three main poultry factories in the region: Kharabalinskaya, Vladimirovskaya and Alanar Agro, which account for more than 95% of the total egg production in the region.
