900 kg of infected meat delivered to Kursk region from Belarus

Employees of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR in the Oryol and Kursk regions destroyed 900 kilograms of MEAT contaminated with listeria.

In May, Rosselkhoznadzor received information that the meat did not meet safety requirements. According to the protocol, listeria bacteria were found in blocks of meat from frozen beef heads.

“877 kilograms of meat were sent to an entrepreneur in the Klyukvinsky village council of the Kursk region,” the department said.

The entrepreneur was ordered to destroy the product. The meat was fully disposed of under the control of Rosselkhoznadzor employees.
