This was reported to Grozny-inform by farmer Magomed-Emi Dedishev.

“Buffalo MEAT has taste and quality advantages. This is the safest type of meat. Having fallen ill, the buffalo almost immediately loses mobility and dies. At this point, it needs to be slaughtered as quickly as possible. That is, in the case of buffaloes, the disease cannot affect the body for a long time, affecting the taste and quality of meat. In this they are very different from the same cows,” said the farmer.
He noted that the oil extracted from buffalo MILK has been famous for its healing properties since ancient times. In the old days, Chechens smeared them on their heads to get rid of headaches. Also, their meat is much easier to digest by the body and does not cause heaviness in the stomach.

At the same time, due to the high fat content, more sour cream is obtained from buffalo milk compared to cow's. If two liters of sour cream can be produced from 10 liters of cow's milk, then 5 liters of buffalo milk will be enough for the same amount of sour cream.

“Now you rarely see people who breed buffaloes. They are practically not kept in personal subsidiary plots. All this is due to the decrease in their popularity and the increase in demand for beef. Buffalo meat is no worse than cow meat. On the contrary, it is even better in appearance and taste. Therefore, our ancestors have always been engaged in buffalo breeding. There is no need to look into the distant past, even in the early 2000s buffaloes were actively bred in the Czech Republic. It’s just that now people have moved away from this a little, but this is a temporary phenomenon, ”M-E shared. Dedishev.
The farmer added that now the demand for products among the inhabitants of the republic is growing. Meat is bought before cutting the animal. Dairy products also quickly sell out, there are always pre-orders for milk , sour cream and butter.

Magomed-Emi himself is engaged in breeding buffaloes. The farmer took over his craft from his father, Isa Dedishev. He once served in law enforcement. Injured, he retired and decided to take up farming in his ancestral village of Tsotsi-Yurt, buying the first 10 buffaloes. He introduced his son to this craft. Now their farm has more than 30 buffalo heads, as well as other types of large and small cattle.

“This business passed to me from my father, he taught me everything that I know today. I plan to follow his example and pass on the family business to my sons. They are already actively helping on the farm and taking care of the animals,” Magomed-Emi emphasized.
According to him, breeding buffaloes is no more difficult than breeding cows. They do not require additional care or vaccinations against diseases. Also, this type of livestock is not affected by parasites.
