The Office of Rosselkhoznadzor for the Vladimir, Kostroma and Ivanovo regions stopped the illegal sale of counterfeit medicines

In accordance with ROSSELKHOZNADZOR Order No. 1124 dated 10/04/2021, the sale of this medicinal product in RUSSIA is prohibited.

it was established that a private individual located in the Astrakhan region posted an advertisement on the Internet for the sale of the drug “Wolfazol” produced by BioChemPharm LLC.

This drug was not produced by a legal entity. Also, signs of counterfeiting were the differences in the primary packaging container and the font of the consumer label of the product being sold.

The Office of Rosselkhoznadzor took prompt measures to suppress the illegal trade in counterfeit medicines; the decision on the need to block prohibited dissemination of information was sent to  Roskomnadzor and to the announcement service.

Roskomnadzor confirmed the presence of materials with illegal content, and the Avito company blocked an announcement about the sale of counterfeit medicine.

In total, in the first half of 2024 , the Rosselkhoznadzor Office checked 208 Internet resources, of which 93 Internet pages were identified containing proposals for retail trade in medicinal products for veterinary use prohibited in the Russian Federation. In addition, the sale was carried out by persons without a license to carry out this activity, which is a violation of the Federal Law of April 12, 2010 No. 61 “On the Circulation of Medicines” and the Federal Law of May 4, 2011 No. 99-FZ “On Licensing of Certain Types of Activities.” Information about network addresses and facts of violations were also sent to Roskomnadzor for blocking.
