Development of livestock farming in Yeisk district: positive dynamics and plans for the future

Dairy farming remains the main industry in the region. Currently, four farms show positive results. The number of dairy herds in agricultural enterprises is 8.3 thousand heads, including 3.6 thousand cows. The number is expected to increase. In the first 11 months of this year, MILK production increased by 6.5%, amounting to 31.3 thousand tons, and by the end of the year it is planned to reach 34.3 thousand tons, which is 7% more than the previous year.

The average milk yield per cow is 8.65 tons and, according to the plan, by the end of the year it should increase to 9.45 tons. In addition, the Yaseni company has resumed operations after the African swine fever, its pig population is 21.6 thousand, sheep and goats - about 8 thousand, and poultry - 432 thousand. MEAT livestock farming is also actively developing: the company has more than 600 bulls of meat breeds.
