According to the report, prompt response measures have been taken - an anti-epizootic detachment has been deployed, an outbreak of bird flu is being eliminated on the territory of the poultry farm, and an epidemiological investigation is underway.

“After the signing by the head of Mari El of the decree on the establishment of restrictive measures (quarantine) and the decree of the government of the republic on the seizure of birds and poultry products, the seizure and destruction of birds and poultry products will begin in accordance with veterinary rules,” the report says.

The speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Yevgeny Lyulin, at a meeting of parliament on June 8, said that the population at the Mari poultry farm was 600,000 birds.

As previously reported, bird flu was detected at the Privolzhskaya poultry farm on June 7. According to the republic's veterinary committee, a corpse of a crow was also found outside the poultry farm, in which RNA of the influenza virus was detected. How many birds are kept at the enterprise was not specified.

OOO Poultry Farm Privolzhskaya, a major regional egg producer, was registered in Privolzhsky in 2017. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, 99.98% of the shares belong to Alexander Malyshev, 0.02% - to its CEO Roman Malyshev.
