Argentina has reached new records for pork production, consumption and exports.

Argentina's pork industry is experiencing unprecedented growth. From January to August 2025, the country reached historic highs in slaughter and MEAT production: according to official data from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries, SENASA, and INDEC, 5,521,175 pigs were slaughtered, with total production reaching 526,463 tons.

This growth is not an isolated incident. Over the past decade, the average annual growth rate of pork slaughter has been 6%, making it one of the most dynamic sectors in national meat production.

At the same time, domestic consumption also reached a historic high: in ten years, it rose from 10 to 17.95 kg per capita, cementing pork's status as an increasingly popular option on Argentine tables.

The EXPORT profile follows this trend: Argentina now has over 54 open markets for pork and offal. Last year, new strategic destinations were added, including Paraguay, Uruguay, and the Philippines, expanding the sector's growth horizons.
