In 2025, the revived dairy plant in Ivanovo established stable production of 13 new types of products.

Over the past year, the RumelkoAgro-Moloko dairy plant in Ivanovo has launched 13 new products, including six new products—two types of cottage cheese and four types of yogurt—in the past month.
On Wednesday, October 22, Governor Stanislav Voskresensky toured the production of these new products and discussed plans for further development of milk processing with the plant's management.
"The plant, as we said, is developing steadily, right on schedule. You remember, it was bankrupt, but a large-scale reconstruction was carried out, and a new plant was essentially built within the old one. Three times as many people are already employed as last year. The number will increase to 200. So, the plant is growing steadily, which is encouraging," said Stanislav Voskresensky.
The regional governor emphasized that the increase in milk processing volumes in the region has provided new impetus for the development of dairy farming.
"The fact that we now have proper processing immediately influenced investors' decisions to make large-scale investments in milk production ." "Four facilities are being commissioned this year, and ten more are under construction," the governor said.
"Several years ago, we focused on milk . Many experts and the Ministry of Agriculture advised us that it was a good option in our latitudes: milk, processing, and cheese . I'm confident we'll become a major dairy hub, but not overnight; we need to develop the necessary competencies. But you can see how our agricultural producers are developing by leaps and bounds. I think that's how it will be," Stanislav Voskresensky added.
The governor discussed plans for production development with the processing plant's management. Initially, raw materials for RumelkoAgro-Moloko were supplied from the agroholding's dairy complexes in the Tver region. Since July 2025 , milk supplies to the revived dairy plant have begun from farms in the Ivanovo region. Due to the expansion of sales outlets to national retailers, the company has increased its supply of raw milk for processing – approximately 150 tons weekly.
The dairy plant produces 3.2% and 2.5% fat milk; 3.2%, 2.5%, and 1% kefir ; and 20% and 15% fat sour cream. Since early October, the company has been producing drinkable yogurts with peach, strawberry, cherry, and pineapple flavors. The products are already available in small stores, and negotiations are underway with federal chains Pyaterochka and Magnit. The dairy plant's new product range also includes 5% and 9% cottage cheese .
"We only recently began producing cottage cheese. It's made on an automated line, meaning manual labor and exposure to anything that could lead to microbiological deviations are completely eliminated. The product is of very high quality, natural, and we use only milk and starter cultures in production," said Anastasia Surova, Quality Director
at RumelkoAgro-Moloko. According to Anastasia Surova, the plant places special emphasis on checking the quality of raw materials and finished products.
"We begin working with suppliers. Before working with a supplier, we collect samples, submit them to a lab, and only then decide whether we are ready to work with that milk. We then monitor the entire production chain," she explained.
As a reminder, the previous dairy plant in Ivanovo, founded in 1929, ceased operations more than three years ago due to financial problems. In October 2023, the company was acquired by a new owner – Vladimir Lisin, a native of Ivanovo and a well-known Russian businessman.
The plant's reconstruction was completed in 2024. Milk and fermented milk production facilities were commissioned, and laboratory equipment was installed . Pilot production began in December 2024, and the first batches of products arrived in retail stores in early 2025. The planned milk processing capacity is up to 200 tons per day, double that of the previous facility.
