Jobs in rural areas created thanks to opening of new slaughterhouse in Batyrevsky district of Chuvashia

A new medium-capacity slaughterhouse has opened in the village of Shygyrdan - up to 15 heads of cattle per day.
According to agribusinessman Albert Khambikov, the construction of the facility has been underway since May 2022. The cost of the project was 15 million rubles, all funds are their own.
"After commissioning, 8 new jobs were created here. We can produce 5 tons of MEAT per day. There are contacts for the sale of products in Cheboksary, Tolyatti, Kazan, Moscow. I love accuracy and precision - as for me, the facility turned out to be ideal," Albert Khambikov shared during the opening of the slaughterhouse.
Currently, there are more than 80 slaughterhouses in Chuvashia, and every fifth of them is in the Batyrevsky District.
"The Republic produces about 120 thousand tons of meat per year, and our region has maintained a leading position in the Volga Federal District in terms of production per 100 hectares of agricultural land for several years. In particular, in meat – in fourth place. Therefore, it is very important to create such slaughterhouses so that every private subsidiary farm could apply for slaughtering of cattle and further sale of raw materials,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted,Minister of Agriculture of Chuvashia Sergei Artamonov.
