Agricultural producers of the Stavropol Territory are actively carrying out pesticide treatments of crops from diseases, pests and weeds. In this case, situations arise when neighboring crops are damaged or die due to non-compliance with the regulations for the use of pesticides and agrochemicals.
The laboratory of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Rosselkhozcenter" in the Stavropol Territory received samples of garden strawberry plants damaged by herbicides during work in neighboring fields. Laboratory specialists carried out phytopathological studies to exclude the presence of diseases, and then conducted studies to determine the content of residual amounts of pesticides in plants.
Specialists of the Stavropol Russian Agricultural Center remind of the need to comply with the regulations for the use of pesticides and agrochemicals. It is very important to consider all factors when carrying out pesticide treatments in order to avoid drift to neighboring crops.
