The first robotic warehouse using domestic equipment was launched in the Chuvash Republic's agricultural sector.

At the end of 2025 , the Vurnary Meat Processing Plant commissioned the first domestically produced robotic warehouse for finished goods.
The entire system, from hardware to software, was developed and manufactured in Russia. To implement the import substitution program and achieve the goals of the national project "Technological Support for Food Security," 30% of the cost of purchasing Russian equipment was reimbursed from the republican budget.
The installation of the new equipment allowed the warehouse to increase its capacity by 2.5 times, to 60 tons of finished goods for one-time storage.
"This warehouse is fully equipped with domestic equipment and runs on Russian software. The launch of the warehouse has allowed us to achieve significant progress. The robots, which we affectionately call "Vasya," significantly reduce order processing time and take over heavy physical labor. If necessary, the automated systems can operate around the clock," commented Vitaly Mikhailov, Executive Director of Vurnary Meat Processing Plant LLC.
In addition, the meat processing plant reconstructed its semi-finished production facility and installed a spiral conveyor system, blast freezing equipment, and sausage production equipment. The total investment amounted to 75 million rubles, of which over 22 million rubles were reimbursed by the state.
Vurnarsky Meat Processing Plant LLC plans to continue modernizing and expanding its production capacity, as well as expanding its product range.
Furthermore, in 2025, 13 food processing plants upgraded their equipment thanks to state support.
Agricultural producers purchased new equipment for processing meat, milk, fish, oilseeds, vegetables, and potatoes. The state reimbursed 30% of the costs of acquiring the new equipment. The total amount of support from the republican budget amounted to 103 million rubles.
"Since 2021, thanks to decisions by regional head Oleg Nikolaev, republican support measures have been introduced for processors in Chuvashia. Enterprises are receiving a 30% subsidy for their technological equipment costs. This support measure is one of the most sought-after and significant areas of assistance. In 2026, to achieve the goals of the national project "Technological Support for Food Security," funding for technological modernization has been increased by 1.5 times—approximately 150 million rubles," commented Andrey Makushev , Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of Chuvashia.
