Rostov region became the leader in the Russian Federation in sunflower production

On the Don, agricultural production increased by 7.4% in 2021, in monetary terms, the figure reached 432.2 billion rubles. This is stated in the report of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the region.

In accordance with the text of the document, in the ranking of all-Russian production, the Rostov region ranks first in sunflower production and second in grain and leguminous crops. In terms of vegetables and MILK, the Don region became the fifth in the country.

“The gross harvest of grain and leguminous crops amounted to more than 13.7 million tons, which is 9.1% more than in 2020. The gross harvest of sunflower is over 1.92 million tons, which is 35.7% more than in 2020,” the report says.

At the same time, according to the results of 2021, about 5.8 billion rubles were disbursed as part of the profile regional state program. Most of the funds (4.1 billion rubles) were allocated from the federal budget. it is noted that in 2021, more than 2 thousand agricultural producers received state support.
