Introducing the winners of the Republican competition "Leader of Energy Efficiency of the Republic of Belarus - 2024"

On November 12, the award ceremony for the winners of the anniversary X Republican competition "Leader of Energy Efficiency of the Republic of Belarus - 2024" was held, which was held under the sign of the Year of Quality. Enterprises and organizations from various sectors of the economy were presented with 68 competition awards. This publication presents the winners of 2024 - energy enterprises in the nominations "Enterprise of the Year - Leader of Energy Efficiency of the Republic of Belarus", "Energy Efficient Technology of the Year". The highest award of the 2024 competition - GRAND PRIX - was awarded to the Production Republican Unitary Enterprise "Vitebskoblgaz". The award was given for the successful implementation of the principles of effective management in the system of subordinate structures, active support of social programs of the region and the creation of a positive modern profile of the enterprise of the country's energy system. UP "Vitebskoblgaz" implements modern technologies, automation systems and control over gas supply modes for all categories of consumers, replaces outdated equipment in all sectors of production activity. ENERGY Nomination "Enterprise of the Year - Leader in Energy Efficiency of the Republic of Belarus" State Enterprise "Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant" Diploma of the 1st degree winner in the category "Energy Complex".    Every year, the Belarusian NPP will generate more than 16.5 billion kWh and will provide up to 40% of the country's domestic electricity needs. The share of natural gas in the country's fuel and energy balance has been significantly reduced, which helps improve the environmental situation in the country. The Belarusian NPP has enhanced safety characteristics, improved technical and economic indicators and complies with the strictest international safety standards and IAEA recommendations. UP "Vitebskoblgaz" Diploma of the 1st degree winner in the category "Energy Complex". UP "Vitebskoblgaz" is a multidisciplinary enterprise that ensures uninterrupted and accident-free gas supply to consumers throughout the Vitebsk region. Among the main priorities of the enterprise are energy saving issues. In 2023, 85.7 tons of fuel equivalent were saved (the energy saving target of minus 2.2% was achieved, with a plan of minus 1.2%). UP "MINGAZ"   Diploma of the 1st degree winner in the category "Energy Complex".    UP "MINGAZ" ensures safe and uninterrupted supply of natural and liquefied gas to consumers.

















 



Due to the implementation of measures to save fuel and energy resources, in total, for the period 2020-2023, UP "MINGAZ" implemented 29 energy saving measures using the latest digital technologies and local software products, resulting in a total savings of 1471.05 tons of fuel equivalent (in monetary terms - about 812.5 thousand Belarusian rubles).

State Enterprise "Minrayteploset"
Diploma of the 1st degree winner in the category "Housing and Public Utilities Complex".
The state enterprise "Minrayteploset" plays a key role in ensuring the life of the population of the MINSK region.

The enterprise has 74 automatic boiler houses, 63 of which operate without the constant presence of service personnel.
Replacement of 42 km of worn-out heating mains with PI pipes from 2019 to 2024 will significantly reduce heat losses and increase the reliability of the entire heat supply system.

State Enterprise "Orshateploseti"   

Diploma of the 1st degree winner in the category "Housing and public utilities".
State Enterprise "Orshateploseti" is one of the main suppliers of thermal energy to consumers in the Orsha district and the city of Orsha.   

The structure of the enterprise includes 51 boiler houses, 34 of which use local types of fuel, of which 35 are automatic. The section of heating networks serves networks with a length of 168.35 km. During the period from 2019 to 2023, 21 boiler houses on local types of fuel were modernized, 60.2 km of heating networks were replaced.

Nomination "Energy Efficient Technology of the Year"
Branch "Gomel CHPP-2" of the Gomel Republican Unitary Enterprise of Electric Power Industry "Gomelenergo"
Diploma of the 1st degree winner in the category "Production of Electric and Thermal Energy" for the presented technology "Reconstruction of Cooling Tower No. 2 at Gomel CHPP-2".   

Modernization of the irrigation system allowed to increase the cooling capacity of the cooling tower by 4 ºС compared to the actual cooling capacity before the reconstruction, which will allow to additionally generate ~2.3 million kW h of electricity per year and achieve fuel savings of 745 tons of fuel equivalent. Grodno Republican Unitary Enterprise of Electric Power Industry "Grodnoenergo" Diploma of the 1st degree winner in the category "Energy Efficient Heat Supply Technologies" for the presented project "Reconstruction of Pumping Station No. 7 on Titova Street in Grodno". The implementation of the project provides the possibility of automatic, remote and local control of all equipment of the pumping station.Replacing 320 kW pumps on the return network water pipeline with 160 kW pumps allowed to reduce electricity consumption by 2 times. UP "MINGAZ"







Diploma of the 1st degree winner in the category "Energy-efficient gas supply systems" for the presented project "Portable system for diagnosing the state of shut-off valves and restoring their operability ARMASCOP".
The portable ARMASCOP system is designed for servicing, diagnosing and restoring shut-off valves.
The use of the ARMASCOP system allows to reduce the time for preparatory work for diagnostics; reduces the labor intensity of work; delivery by light vehicles to measurement objects regardless of the pipeline diameters.

Diploma of the 3rd degree winner in the category "Energy-efficient water drainage system" for the presented project "Modernization of the pumping station at the peat deposit "Galo-Kovalevskoye" with the replacement of submersible pumps with energy-efficient ones".
The drainage pumping station at the peat deposit "Galo-Kovalevskoye" is designed to pump out drainage wastewater from the production fields of the peat enterprise throughout the year.
When replacing the pumping equipment with a new one, the power consumption of the pumping station will decrease by 496,358 kW h per year, which in monetary terms will amount to 93,355 rubles.

UP "Vitebskoblgaz"
Diploma of the 1st degree winner in the category "Energy-efficient grain processing" for the presented project "Grain extrusion plant".
The plant for the production of extruded grain in the Mazolovogaz agricultural enterprise was put into operation in November 2023 in order to increase the MILK yield of highly productive cows. The objective of the facility is to obtain a high-quality extruded product for its own needs and to provide this service to third-party organizations.
The high quality of the extrudate increases the content of components digestible by animals in the raw material by at least 30%.

UP Brestoblgaz
Diploma of the 2nd degree winner in the category "Energy-efficient systems based on the use of secondary energy resources" for the presented project "Installation of milk pre-cooling systems by heating water for animal drinking in the SPU "Domanovo".
The scheme for the utilization of thermal DER provides not only cooling of milk after milking before feeding it to the refrigeration unit, but also simultaneously heats water for animal drinking, thereby replacing electrical energy with the enthalpy of milk.

The estimated annual savings are 70.8 tons of standard fuel with a gross milk yield of 9.8 thousand tons. Actual savings since commissioning have already amounted to 25.7 tons of standard fuel. UP Grodnooblgaz
Diploma of the 2nd degree winner in the category "Energy-efficient gas supply systems" for the presented project "Telemechanization of cathodic protection stations".
Telemechanization of the cathodic protection system made it possible to monitor input and output parameters, analyze the necessary information, and remotely control the operating modes of the cathodic protection stations.
The telemetry device made it possible to reduce the frequency of inspections of more than 600 SCS to 2 times a year (previously, inspections were carried out 24 and 12 times a year in the city and in the countryside, respectively).

RUE Mogilevoblgaz
Diploma of the 2nd degree winner in the category "Energy-efficient gas supply systems" for the presented project "Methodology for technical diagnostics of shut-off valves installed at gas distribution system facilities".
The technique for technical diagnostics is used to determine the service life of shut-off valves in the gas supply system.
In 2023-2024, 107 shut-off devices received positive diagnostic results, and their service life was extended by 8 years. The economic effect of using the technique amounted to 636 thousand rubles, fuel and energy savings - 9.12 tons of standard fuel.
