This opinion was expressed on the TV channel by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Belarus Tomaso Pietro Marchegiani, BELTA reports.

"We already have a lot between us. The first thing in development is not to lose what we already have. These are travel, tourism, mutual interest people-to-people (between people - BELTA's note) at the level of contacts. This is the most important thing, and for We are ready to work on this,” the Italian ambassador emphasized.

Regarding the further development of Belarusian-Italian relations, Marchegiani noted that they should be expanded and taken to another level. “We invite small delegations here; we recently had a round table at the Academy of Sciences on Agriculture. We have such projects, specific, operational. We need to work more, we need to establish more contacts, and it will be better in the future,” he shared.

In addition to the agro-industrial complex of Belarus, according to the ambassador, Italy may also be interested in the industrial sector of our country. The European state is trying as energetically as possible to support Belarusian importers of machines for the production of wooden furniture. In Italy, business visas are opened for Belarusian entrepreneurs in order to establish bilateral contacts in this area.

“We are trying to support the export of our wines and our food here,” the ambassador said. And he noted that he would like to see Belarusian cheeses on the Italian market. “It would be very interesting,” he noted.

He noted the highest quality of Belarusian dairy products - both cheeses, milk, sour cream, emphasizing that our country occupies fourth position in the world ranking in this area. “You just need to work specifically,” concluded Marchegiani.
